On Sunday the 1st of April, we will be holding a 9:30am service at the RSL park where we invite everyone to join us for our easter gathering to celebrate Jesus resurrection. There will be a coffee cart available, muffins and sausage sizzle by Corowa Rotary Club. Face painting, a bubble machine, drawing activities, drinks such as waters and prima's, and the new play ground equipment will all be avaliable for the children. At 10:50am we will have a puppet show followed by our Easter egg hunt for children up to the age of 12.
There are 3 egg hunts to participate in:
Some things in life happen without any consequence, and are forgotten almost immediately after they happen. Other events echo through the pages of history, leaving us undeniably changed. And yet by far, no other event has changed the course of humanity so powerfully. Easter is a powerful declaration of God’s love for humanity. The Bible boldly states, “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him” (John 3:17). Jesus is God’s answer to the brokenness we see all around us — and in Easter we see a rescue like no other. On Good Friday, Jesus would sacrifice everything… his glory, his dignity, even his very life … to make a way for “whosoever will come” to be reconciled to a loving God. But the best news of Easter is that Jesus didn’t stay dead: he rose again! Easter Sunday is a dangerous declaration that has proclaimed to anyone who will hear: there is hope! “He is not here — he is risen!” The tomb is empty! Jesus is alive! Now, the way is opened for us to have a new relationship with God, and “everyone who believes in [Jesus] will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). Now, the choice is yours — how will you respond? #crossequalslove
